Ablutions according to Hadith

Ablutions according to Hadith

Imam Bukhari says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that it is obligatory to wash the organs once in ablution. Prophet PBUH also washed his limbs twice, Even three times. Yes, not more than three times. And the scholars have said that extravagance (Excessive use of water) in ablution is makrooh so that people go beyond the action of the Messenger of Allah. Sahih Bukahri

In particular, washing your hands and feet more than three times is not proven by Prophet Muhammad PBUH. According to the narration of Abu Dawud, Prophet Muhammad PBUH washed all the limbs three times in ablution and then said that whoever did more or less than that did evil and wronged him.
