What is soul in Islam and Quran? Human Limited Knowledge

Narrated Abdullah: While I was going with the Prophet through the ruins of Medina and he was reclining on a date-palm leaf stalk, some Jews passed by. Some of them said to the others: Ask him (the Prophet) about the spirit. Some of them said that they should not ask him that question as he might give a reply which would displease them. But some of them insisted on asking, and so one of them stood up and asked, “O Abu-l-Qasim ! What is the spirit?” The Prophet remained quiet. I thought he was being inspired Divinely. So I stayed till that state of the Prophet (while being inspired) was over. The Prophet then said, “And they ask you (O Muhammad) concerning the spirit –Say: The spirit — its knowledge is with my Lord. And of knowledge you (mankind) have been given only a little).” (17.85) – Sahih Bukhari and Quran Al-Isra Verse 85

Interpretation:

Since the same thing is said about the soul in the Torah, it is a thing from God. That is why the Jews wanted to know if their teaching was in accordance with the Torah. Or in the case of the soul, they also talk like atheists and philosophers. It is known from some traditions that this question was asked to Prophet Muhammad PBUH in Makkah, then the Jews of Madinah repeated it. According to Ahl-e-Sunnah, the soul is a subtle body which is embedded in the body in this way. Just like the fragrance of a rose is embedded in its flower.
There are seventy sayings about the soul. Hafiz Ibn Qayyim has shed light on them in the book Al-Ruh. It is true that the soul is a subtle thing. Therefore, our present life, which is full of density, can in no way be aware of the reality of the soul. This is the opinion of the great Ahl as-Sunnah that the requirement of literature is to be calm about the soul. The majority agrees that the soul is an accident. Like all other releases are accidental. The point of all this is that no matter how great a person may become as a great scholar, narrator, commentator, but still the flow of human knowledge is very limited. And no one can say that he has completely mastered all the sciences.
